I'M Sound
If you would like me to photograph your wedding, or if you are thinking about having me photograph your wedding, there is some personal information that I need from you to do my job. If you would like a quote, I will need your e-mail address to reply...ya know? If you would like me to arrive at your parents house on the morning of your wedding, I will need their address. If I get lost on the way to the church, I will need the grooms phone number to call for directions...that never happens by the way. I won't collect any unnecessary personal data from you, other than the information I need to do my job. However, if we go for a pre wedding shoot, I will most certainly ask how you both met. I’m a bit of a sap, and I love a good story. But I am genuinely interested in you as people.
For real though, I take GDPR seriously, as I fully respect my clients personal data and keeping it safe. I will only use the information you have provided to fulfil our contract in place. I need to contact you about your wedding day, take photographs, send them to you, and arrange your wedding album. I need to know about the morning preparations, and where I need to be on your day … the church or ceremony location, and the reception.
I also need to maintain my own business website and social media by showing some images in my gallery. This is all to inspire other loved up couples to book me, but I also have an ambition to be glorified as an award winning photographer, and become Insta famous! Kidding!
I will not store your information for the purposes of marketing in the future, as our contract is fulfilled once you have your wedding album. There is no marketing database … I'm a terrible sales person.
I will not sell your personal information to anyone, even if they offered me MILLIONS!!!
My website collects cookies, which helps me to understand where my clients come from, and how well my website works.
At your wedding, I will photograph the entire day. Since wedding days are predominately about people, relationships fun and laugher, I will be capturing all your guests too, in order to deliver a full story of your wedding day. If there's a super cute child, doing super cute stuff, I still won't share that image unless given consent from the parent. I'm not going to share a photo of Uncle Bob picking his nose, or Grandad asleep at the ceremony. If any of your guests come to me, and ask to remove a photo I took of them, I will.
All the images of your wedding are stored online on Shootproof, and they are password protected. Your wedding images can be accessed by myself, you the client, and anyone else that you wish to send the link and password to.
I treat the data I collect and store with care, and ensure it is stored securely, and only for as long as I require it to fulfil our contract. I will tell anyone who asks exactly what data I have stored about them, but you know this anyway as you told me. I will remove any data from my systems that you would rather I don’t store, as far as is practical. In doing this, implications may arise that affect the job I have been contracted to do. In this instance, I will inform you of any such implications, so you can make an informed decision about said request. All data is stored and/or processed in a GDPR-compliant manner.
As I said earlier, I’m sound, we’ll have a blast!!
For any queries about my privacy policy or the data I collect or store, just email me at info@bokehphotography.ie
